sin our enjoyment??

The other day I finished reading a book, and the thought struckk me, that we like to be entertained by sinful things. Movies, like 24 for example, are filled with violence and evil. Novels are written about how people do bad things. People enjoy to watch others sin! Why is this? I think that it must have something to do with our sinful nature, but Christians still read books and watch movies like that. I'm not really sure.....

If anyone has any feedback for me, please let me know!

Even in the Bible events of heinous sin are recorded for us to read... part of the reason for that is so we might witness good triumph over evil, and darkness be swallowed up by light. Some TV shows are just violence as entertainment - there is no moral victory. It is interesting, but not surprising - the most popular shows are not these ones, they are the ones where good wins.

One important thing to remember is to listen to your conscience. Many Christians have stopped up their ears to their conscience, not listening to its accusing and excusing, so that they end up living very worldly lives. Feed your heart on the Truth of His Word and you will know what to do - Truth like David killing Goliath, or Jesus defeating death!

To add to what Kerux said. Shows do show that the good guy wins, but how they win is the question. Sometimes killing and sin is involved all in the name of stopping the greater evil.Jesus had righteous anger when the people were using the temple as a market place instead of a place of worship. We should have righteous anger when someone is doing wront.
It's great that the good guy wins , but we have to make sure that he wins in a way that is pleasing in God's eyes. Those stories don't make an interesting movie- so they let the good guy win through their sinful actions.
